Video shows teenage boy shooting robber in the face at family pizza shop

Teen Shoots Suspect Spring Garden Pizza

A video has been released showing a teenage boy shooting a robber in the face to stop him from stealing money from a Philadelphia pizzeria.

In the chilling footage, which was captured by a surveillance camera within the pizza shop, a 14-year-old boy is seen holding a gun before shooting the robber in the face.

The incident occurred at Bold Pizza on Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, at 9:30 pm on Thursday, December 9.

The footage, which lasts 28 seconds, shows a man leaning over the counter forcefully and trying to access the contents of the cash register.

He is seen grappling with the shop worker, who is reported to be the mother of the 14-year-old boy. She later reported to the police that she was unable to open the cash register as she did not have a code to do so.

Within seconds, the boy fires the handgun from behind the counter, shooting the attacker in the face.

The clip shows the robber instantly becoming motionless and flopping onto the counter.

Money and other items are seen falling onto the floor, and police later reported large amounts of blood in the store.

The 33-year-old robber had joined two others earlier the same day to steal from a CVS pharmacy not far from Bold Pizza.

Speaking about the incident, Police Chief Inspector Scott Small reported that a trail of blood had led them to a subway station three blocks from the pizzeria, where they found the suspect.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition, and police officials are still on the hunt for the other two robbers involved in the earlier CVS incident.

The video has been reshared numerous times on social media platforms, where it has gathered thousands of comments.

Police have not yet confirmed whether any charges have been made.
